Another project day... check our calendar page for the most current listing, "Receiving blankets." Supply list here.

Mt. Tam QG quilters earned several and even multiple ribbons at the Marin County Fair!  Congratulations to Pat Burnham, Ann Dembski, Pat Dicker, Sandra Harrington, Kanani Jones, Mara Kugelmas, Joan Myskowski, Nancy Reck, Marie Rice, Kathy Salopek, Nancy Sumner, Shirley Tyson, and Suzie Warren.  Nancy Sumner and Pat Dicker each picked up a Best of Show award, with Nancy Sumner also garnering the Fair Theme Award.  Pat and Ann Dembski each earned other Special Awards.

Speaking of the Fair.....did you know that Mt. Tam quilt guild provided some of the prizes for youth quilts at the fair?

We link to Northern California Quilt Council. Stay on top of events scheduled outside Mt. Tam Quilt guild by visiting the events link to NCQC here.

New Quilts of Northern California at PIQF sent us an application form (here), but the applications were due Aug 1. Acceptances will be sent by Sept. 1. The exhibit will be at PIQF, Santa Clara Convention Ctr., from Oct. 16-19.

Community Outreach chairs, Jayne and Martha, have prepared packets of coordinated fabrics for plenty of quilts! Members can pick up packet(s), at no cost, at meetings along with a simple pattern to make a quickie charity quilt in a short afternoon. We will collect finished quilts in November. Contact Jayne or Martha with questions.

Talk to us!

Our Program/Workshop chair asks that members complete the workshop survey form [you can find it here] and return it to her as soon as possible. It's time to calendar all those wonderful speakers!

Congratulations to member Gloria Casey, winner of the 2007 Opportunity Quilt. Gloria's winning ticket was drawn from over 2500 tickets at our February meeting.

Our February speaker, Shelley Swanland, draws the winning ticket!

Our 2007 Outreach project reached its zenith in November when Terry presented the many quilts we made over the year to the 2007 recipient organizations. Terry reports that we donated over 100 quilts.
